Flowers in Motion is free for all and will be held at the Padstow College on Thursday November 14th 5pm. The event combines the skills of floristry with the transformative power of makeup, showcasing elaborate floral arrangements on made-up models.

More than 250 Floristry, Beauty, Hospitality and Events students will be participating in this event, gaining real-life experience and showcasing their skills.

The night will include a catwalk of Floral Couture inspired by popular movies, displays of floral design using over 10,000 blooms, free entertainment including live bands and free food and drinks. This year’s movie theme will see characters such as Marie Antoinette and Romeo and Juliette being brought to life with hair and makeup.

TAFE SWSi’s Floristry head teacher Joanne Hynard is the main event organiser of Flowers in Motion and she is expecting the upcoming show to be a record-breaking event. “Flowers in Motion is on track to become Sydney’s biggest showcase of floristry and beauty skills,” Joanne said, “the 4th annual event will include more flowers, more industry trainees and is likely to attract more guests than ever before.”

“This year, we plan to use more than 10,000 blooms sourced from all over Australia as part of our moving and static displays.”

TAFE SWSi is one of NSW’s premium trainers in Floristry, Beauty, Hospitality and Events, supporting the 4 industries which together employ thousands of graduates.
