Taking Sydney beauty media back to where it all began, Professional Beauty Solutions’ (PBS) Matt and Lisa Williams hosted a luxurious breakfast in North Bondi with views to make any sun lover jealous. Launching the product officially at last month’s Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo, PBS is thrilled with Sunescape’s initial successes — born out of a genuine love for the tanning industry.

A self-confessed tanaholic, Matt and his wife Lisa are deeply passionate and proud of the new range which aims to not only provide a natural looking and feeling tan, but enrich the skin with a combination of natural and organic ingredients including macadamia nut oil, coconut oil, kakadu plum, argan oil, aloe vera, green tea and grape seed extracts.

“Over the years, in the back of our minds, Lisa and I have always wanted to have a tanning line to service our spas, salons and clinics around the country. We were offered other lines for distribution but nothing met our standard — our criterion is tough so we attempted to do it ourselves. Our trial phase was extensive and it was by chance our good friends, Scott and Lauren Capelin of Tan Temple, were looking at developing their own professional solution,” Matt said.

Awarded Australia’s number one tanning salon (Australian Beauty Awards 2012), Tan Temple averages 220 tans per week — exhaustively testing 18 different tan brands. The match then is one made in tanning heaven with Tan Temple’s unique client insight delivering a product already exceeding expectations

“Within the first month of having this in our salon, it became the most requested tan we sold. Clients would rave that it was the best tan they had ever received. The colour was natural, it lasted well, and most importantly, didn’t dry their skin out like all the other formulas had,” Lauren Capelin, Owner of Tan Temple Bondi, explained.

Clients can choose from three Sunescape “destinations”, Weekend in Bondi (light), Week in Fiji (dark) and Month in Maui (dark), with a darker shade Season in Santorini (the working title) soon on its way. Made with organic ingredients and Eco Cert approved DHA, Sunescape’s formulas are free from alcohol, parabens and petrochemicals.
