SKN Complex Launches into Retail

Australian skin care company, SKN Complex, will be launching its retail campaign in April 2013, introducing a range of "science based anti-ageing products" into Australian pharmacies and beauty retailers. The brand is entering retail following two years of successful launch and growth of its brands online.

According to founder, Vicki Law, SKN Complex comes to retail with a strong and loyal customer base and a proven track record as a skin care innovator, providing Australian women with the latest in cosmetic science at affordable prices: “Nearly two years ago we launched SKN Complex’s first product, Lift, Firm & Tighten FACE LIFT online, an advanced anti-ageing skin care product for all ages. Every year as cosmetic science advances, it becomes increasingly possible to maintain a youthful appearance, without needles, without knives, without pain and without breaking the budget.

"Based on Noble Prize (2009) winning science,* SKN Complex is designed to work at the DNA level to attack ageing at the core. Formulated with Teprenone and Astragalus, two world-first ingredients, DNA Youth Span prevents degradation or shortening of replicating chromosomes which occurs increasingly with cell turnover as skin ages.

“As DNA divides to form new cells, the telomeres or end part of a chromosome’s DNA gets shorter until eventually they become too short and the cell dies. Maintaining the length of telomeres is thought to be the fountain of youth, adding years to the natural ageing process. DNA Youth Span’s two key ingredients, Teprenone and Astragalus, are said to activate and increase production of telomerase, the enzyme that makes telomeres. Power peptides are advanced peptides or peptide combinations that treat specific problem areas. Lift, Firm & Tighten FACE LIFT has two revolutionary peptides, Serilesine (Hexapeptide 10) and Relistase."

In keeping with their ‘beauty maintained through science’ theme, SKN Complex also has a unique 3-Step system to assist with lifting and toning the entire bust and décolletage area, “We brought together the best of Western science with traditional Eastern beauty. Combining the peptides with a South East Asian root extract, Pueraria mirifica, which has been used for centuries by Thai women to enhance the appearance of their busts.

“There have been theories postulated that in 25 years’ time we will have the first generation of whole body anti-ageing treatments that will increase the life span of a person of average health by 25-30 years, and that in 30 years’ time the same adult will have the benefit of further research allowing for another 50 years increase in life span,” adds Law.

“At SKN Complex we’ve taken the advantage of this new generation of thinking and have created unique anti-ageing skin care that can be used right now. We’re used to hearing about the fountain of youth in the same myths and stories that tell us about dragons, fairies and goblins. But if we ask ourselves what our ancestors would make of air travel, computers, the internet and iPads, then we know the time has come to bring the fountain of youth to Australian consumers.”
