Nvey Eco launch skincare line

Beauty media were invited to the launch of Nvey Eco’s new natural skincare range at Kitchen By Mike in Alexandria.

Rohan Widdison discusses the new range

While guest enjoyed afternoon tea, Rohan Widdison, Melbourne-based CEO and Founder of Nvey Eco, discussed the new range. For the past two years he has worked with his international research and development team to source what he calls “proven effective organic actives” from around the world. All his ingredients have been selected specifically to play a necessary role as part of skin care while also being fair to the environment; only choosing ingredients from renewable and animal friendly resources. Rohan says he has rigorously tested the effectiveness of each product in house with positive results.

Rohan actually isn't a fan of general organics or those who use organic products for the sake of it – the reason he pursues and employs the ingredients and production methods used at Nvey Eco is to provide consumers with products that are high performance, true to skin care and just happen to be doing right by us and the environment as well; values passed on to him by his mother and Australian professional beauty icon, Helene Abicair (Founder of Helene Abicair College of Advanced Beauty Therapy, Melbourne – now headed by Rohan).

During his talk, Rohan said that many products that are claimed to be organic are in fact ineffective and only cater to what consumers expect an organic product to look, smell and feel like.

Rohan has developed his new skin care line under an Nvey Eco treatment system called Ecological Optimum Bioavailability that is based not only on the sensorial experience, but also core delivery and actives. This means that although his products are Certified Organic, they are pleasant to use (subtle fragrance and fine textures, rather than with an over- or underwhelming fragrance and texture), functional and made using chemical-free formulas based on pure organic ingredients.

Rohan is part of every step of the creation process and you can generally find him working behind the machines in his Melbourne-based production house.

The new skincare line

Nvey Eco cosmetics are overseen by internationally recognised not-for-profit regulatory organisations NaTrue (Europe) and NSF International (USA) and say they are the only Australian cosmetics brand to be 100 per cent Certified Organic by these strict certifiers.

Rohan also spoke about his recent success in securing a launch into Ulta in the USA coming soon. Nvey Eco is currently available in over 30 countries internationally, including across China, France, USA, Scandinavia, the Middle East and North America, launching in Australia November 2011. Nvey Eco has also launched in New Zealand this month.
