Roundtable 7: The Inspired Salon

The Inspired Salon was the topic of the seventh Professional Beauty Industry Roundtable, where suppliers and salon professionals joined forces to confront industry challenges in the modern era.

In attendance was Dermalogica general manager Kristie Millgate, Dermatonics co-founder Donna Lee Marcal, awarded salon owner and educator Gay Wardle, Bohéme Skin and Beauty owner Kim Baker, Endota SON Group owner Sally Cantwell and Heavenly Retreat Skin Correction Beauty Spa owner Helen Gerasimou, who all shared their collective knowledge on challenges faced and successful strategies for the beauty professional.

The broad topic encompassed six key questions, which focused on the role of technology in today’s salon, making the most of a salon or clinic menu, how to choose a professional retail partner, therapists’ physical and mental well-being, creating social value to drive brand loyalty and strategies for social media.

The Professional Beauty team hosted the esteemed guests in The Attic at The Arthouse in Sydney’s CBD, with a videography and camera crew from Roundabout Team on hand to catch all of day’s action.

Big ideas were put forward from everybody throughout the lengthy discussion, which can be viewed online in a series of captivating videos at our Industry Roundtable Hub.

There is also a written wrap of the event showcasing some of the best quotes and discussion points in the Nov/Dec issue of Professional Beauty.
