Focusing on the natural contours and tones of the face, Napoleon Perdis revealed a natural and effortless look for the season. “This season is all about effortless confidence and a slightly understated beauty look. This girl is achingly cool; she’s a combination of street-smart intelligence and enviable natural beauty,” cosmetic king Napoleon Perdis said.

The look focused on the eyes – creating a dramatic smoky effect without over-the-top drama. By using only brown shades and soft blending, the classic smoky eye look was recreated with a futuristic feel.

“The eye is smoky, but in a softer, more ethereal way, and I’ve pared that with defined contours on the cheeks and a defined brow – it’s all about enhancing what’s already there,” said Napoleon.

On trends for upcoming seasons: “generally we see a return to a richer, stronger colour palette for winter but to keep this look fresh and relatively subtle we’ve worked with matte textures on the skin, eyes and lips. It’s modern, it’s a hybrid of cool and glam, and it’s perfect for the season ahead.”

Liz Webster, Myer general manager of concessions and cosmetics was delighted to welcome Napoleon as official makeup partner for the season: “we were thrilled to have the king of colour on board for the first time to create the beauty looks for our Autumn Winter 14 Fashion Launch. Napoleon’s talented team ensured the makeup execution perfectly captured the sultry sophistication of this season’s key looks.”
