Shellac Luxe is on its way

Eight years after launching the now ubiquitous Shellac onto the professional nail market, CND is launching “the biggest innovation in nails in over a decade”‒ Shellac Luxe.

Promising to deliver “major benefits for both nail professionals and their clients”, the new two-step system features a self-adhering base/colour coat and a high gloss top coat, which can both be removed in just 60 seconds.

By eliminating one step (with the two-in-one base/colour coat) and reducing removal time (thanks to “unique micro pores that allow remover to penetrate polish quickly”) in the Shellac system, Shellac Luxe “saves 15 minutes on the length of a manicure appointment”.

Launching the new range, CND co-founder and style director Jan Arnold said Shellac Luxe was a “step change” for the industry.

“At CND, we are always pushing to improve the speed and quality of our services,” she said.

“CND Shellac Luxe is a premium service that taps into the things we know our nail professionals and their clients are looking for: faster appointments and kinder treatments.”

According to Jan, Luxe’s combination of luxury and faster service provides a “unique profit potential opportunity” for nail professionals.

She said “every single fashion forward shade [in the Luxe range] gives the CND Shellac signature high-shine finish” that the brand is renowned for with the added bonus of a “new kinder to nails formulation that means effortless removal without peeling, cracking or breaking” of clients’ nails.

“Now with the CND  Shellac family of products, nail professionals have options for protection, colour and removal time to meet every client need.”

Available in 65 colours (50 that match existing Shellac shades and 15 that are exclusive), the range will be launched into Australian salons in August.

Danelle Dent, public relations coordinator for Pacific Nail & Beauty (the distributor of CND in Australia), says Shellac Luxe will be targeted at “premium, exclusive salons and CND loyalists”.

“CND recommends charging 50 percent more for a manicure using the CND Luxe over a basic manicure with traditional polish, as it delivers a premium service, saves precious time and gets the client out the door fast,” she says.
