Katy Perry wore custom Minx nails to the 2011 Video Music Awards where she accepted the Video of the Year award for her single, "Firework."

If you look closer at Katy's Minx, however, you will notice that her nails had great significance. Each nail shows a tiny personalized image of a record at the nail bed, symbolizing each of the five hit singles from her "Teenage Dream" album that propelled Katy into music history.
Los Angeles celebrity nail stylist Kimmie Kyees designed the custom Minx, using a black and white-checkered background to contrast with the blue and pink-labeled records that had "Katy" and "Perry" written on them in script.
Kimmie Kyees is the same nail stylist who applied the custom "Russell Brand" Minx to Katy Perry for her VMA appearance last year. Minx nails is a solid nail coating that is available in salons and spas around the world.
