Global Nail Design Awards 2012

This is the third Global Nail Design Awards run by award-winning international nail artist Viv Simmonds, taking place in Tweed Heads, NSW on Sunday 29th April. It is open to everyone who wishes to experience the competition floor.

Distributors have the opportunity to showcase their products while competitors can receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies with a product prize. The overall winner (highest point score for all events) will receive the prestigious Silver Hand Trophy and a $1000 cash prize.

There is an excellent judging panel for the event including Catherine Wong (Singapore – International Award Winning Nail Artist & Educator), Kristina Manners (UK – International Award Winning Nail Artist & Educator) and Australian judges Debra Purtell, Luan Clenton-Tekstra and Amanda Niahros (all former competitors and winners), as well as a guest judge from Japan. Following the competition there will be an Award Ceremony.

Along with Catherine Wong, Viv has also been running VivCat Design since 2008. VivCat Design is a series of advanced design classes in both acrylic and gel mediums to inspire and help nail technicians to propel their creativity and technical skills and be innovative at both salon and competition level. The classes are held internationally but the next VivCat Design Down Under class is on Monday 30th April and Tuesday 1st May.
