Beauty media and professionals were recently invited to celebrate the power of amazing hair, makeup and fashion at One Room, Bronte.

One Room held a fun-filled evening of indulgence to celebrate becoming the exclusive new stockists of Italian makeup brand Lord & Berry in Australia. Masterchef’s Mindy Woods and Julia Taylor, and celebrity mixologist, from award-winning Sydney bar Eau De Vie, Charlie Ainsburyat catered to guests' culinary needs.
Attendees had the opportunity to try out Lord & Berry with makeup artist counters set up on the salon’s terrace. A fun photo booth allowed Lord & Berry converts the chance to pose with their finished makeup look.

One Room was recently opened by Daniel McLennan who has been hairdressing for 28 years. He is a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist in Sydney and Maui, USA. Daniel’s work is diverse and his skills are constantly called upon for high-profile events and private clients throughout Australia and Hawaii. He was responsible for Mindy Woods and Julia Taylors perfect hair and makeup that evening.

When guests weren’t testing out Lord & Berry they could enjoy pink port cocktails and Masterchef food. The Italian themed, gourmet feast was created by Mindy Woods and included Taralli, buffalo mozzarella and carpaccio served in small sipping glasses, Civeche, veal tartar, capers, cornichon, parsley, olive crostini and roaming salami with breasola, proscuitio, grissini and olives.
Julia Taylor created the delicious dessert window seen from the salon front. Her raspberry macaroons, salted caramel brownies with salt and pepper chocolate straws and red velvet cupcakes lasted long enough to sweeten everyone’s spirits!
Brittany Cairns (The Voice), Lisa Ho, Lynette Carroll Bolton, Dr Katrina Warren, Audra Morrice (Masterchef), Sigourney Cantelo (Vogue) and Tali Jatali were just some of the other notable ladies in attendance.
