Makeup artist Chase Aston introduces press to Lily Cole’s new makeup range

Pretty pink flowers and miniature cupcakes set the scene at The Body Shop’s launch of the new limited edition Lily Cole Cruelty Free Makeup Collection.

Stephanie Maule, The Body Shop communications manager introduced the range which is cruelty-free and contains no animal by-products. The shimmer effect is made from mineral mica and the binding agents are made from natural vegetable materials.

International makeup artist and spokesperson for The Body Shop Chase Aston was there to demonstrate the new collection on models. There is a lilac and coral collection with lighter and darker shades for fresh day or smokey night wear. The new range hits counters on July 9.

Aston gave beauty press a top tip for applying eyeliner: dot the eyeliner along the lash line then smudge the dots with a brush so they join up. He also said that no-one should be afraid to embrace pink colours as the multi-tonal new shimmer shades suit all.

Splitting his time between London and New York, Chase Aston has worked with the biggest names in fashion and beauty from top models such as Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer, to famous personalities such as Victoria Beckham and Cameron Diaz.

Before leaving, beauty press signed the international cruelty-free pledge.
