Professional Australian makeup brand Issada Cosmetics have received the honour of being named in the Q400 list for the second year running.

This prestigious list celebrates the top 400 privately owned businesses in Queensland. Issada have been recognised for their outstanding achievement in business and their contribution to the economic growth in Queensland. The Issada brand remains strong and continues to show rapid growth each year, accenting itself from underground gem to iconic Australian mineral makeup house.

Issada Cosmetics CEO and founder Fiona Neale said the achievement was the culmination of a big year for the young company, which saw them expand into New Zealand and relocate to a new deluxe company headquarters in Brisbane.

“We made our debut on the list in 2010 at 397; to jump the ranks to 318 in just 12 months is a huge achievement for the brand and a testament to the hard work of our team,” Ms Neale said.

First launched in 2001 with their hand-made brushes, Issada was taken over by Ms Neale in 2007 who, fuelled with passion, creativity and a desire for perfection, expanded the brand into a mineral and treatment makeup range, with a collection that nourishes skin with clinical grade vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, botanicals, collagen and more.

With growth exceeding initial expectations, Issada opened Australia’s first and only stand-alone mineral makeup store in Bulimba in 2007, showcasing the range in its entirety.

In 2010, Issada opened its second concept store in Brisbane City’s prestigious Edward Street, a milestone that was celebrated with the honour of receiving the 2011 Best Commercial Interior award at the Queensland Building Design Awards for the store’s five-star fit-out.

Now boasting over 100 stockists across Australia and New Zealand including some of the most prestigious salons, spas and clinics.

A testament to Issada’s abilities, the brand has been the official makeup partner for events including Australian SWIM Fashion Week, SWIMSHOW, Toni & Guy Hair Shows and editorial shoots, and is regularly used by the country’s top makeup artists for film and television.
