Bodyography raises $5000 for Genes Day

Bodyography helped launch Gridlock denim and raise around $5000 for Jeans for Genes Day at the Silk Road bar in Melbourne on Friday and Saturday night (August 6 and 7).

The cosmetics company sponsored the launch parties for the denim brand, renowned for its interchangeable pockets, into Australia.

In addition the company set up a Hollywood-style make-up studio at both parties offering guests free makeovers and donated the “total proceeds minus wholesale cost” from product sales to Jeans for Genes Day.

Bodyography director Rob Tamburro said around 1500 people, including “local Melbourne celebrities and the hair and beauty industry”, attended the rockstar- and winter wonderland-themed events.

Jeans for Genes Day is a major fundraiser of the Children's Medical Research Institute, an independent organisation committed to unlocking the mysteries of genetic disease.
