If you think bloggers are a blip about to end, think again. Swiss blogger and international style princess, Kristina Bazan, has been announced as the first ever blogger to become a brand ambassador with beauty giant L’Oréal Paris.

Kristina Bazen’s website, Kayture.com, was founded in 2011 by Bazan and her partner James Chardon, and is considered one of the most influencial fashion and beauty blogs going. With 2 million Instagram followers worldwide, she is one seriously influential 21 year old.

Kristina got her blogger stripes in high school when she started documenting her daily outfits on Lookbook. Kristina now mixes it with A-list celebrities at Cannes Film Festival, graces the covers of magazines (think Vogue, GQ and Cosmopolitan) and partners with the world’s leading brands (Chopard, Piaget and Cartier, anyone?)

Now an influential stylist, model, creative director and, just recently, singer, Kristina is no run-of-the-mill blogger.

“[Kristina] is a bridge between classical advertising and the consumer,” says L’Oréal vice president Yann Joffredo. “She is totally in line with all the values of the brand.”

The deal will see L’Oréal gain direct access to Kristina Bazen’s substantial beauty-loving audience. In her new role, Kristina will create content as well as cover events and new releases via both her website and social media accounts.

“My wish is to use this new voice, this new amazing role as a spokesperson to spread a positive message about beauty and make all women around the world feel and know that they are all worth it,” says Kristina Bazen.

“Kristina shows us that any woman can create bold and sophisticated makeup looks, and feel good about herself,” says L’Oréal brand global president Cyril Chapuy. “She designs her own beauty and has this incredible ability to openly share and inspire women all around the world. That’s the type of message L’Oréal Paris always stands for.”

This is a big leap of faith for L’Oréal, and one that could well pay off. “For us, it’s a major step in our communications strategy,” says Joffredo. “It’s a new era.”
