It was a beautifully warm winter’s day in Sydney for the celebration of Alpha-H’s 21st anniversary. Apha-H owner and director, Michelle Doherty, travelled from the Gold Coast with her husband Dean and three daughters, Jamee, Libby and Taryn, to celebrate in style at the stunning Gantry Restaurant in Sydney’s Walsh Bay.

From small beginnings, Alpha-H is now a globally-recognised brand, loved by beauty journalists, makeup artists and bloggers alike.  The rise and rise of the glycolic-based brand began as a solution to Michelle’s chronic acne, which she said she suffered from for 14 years. After just four days using Alpah-H, Doherty said she saw a difference in her skin. She bought the company and Michelle and Dean Doherty now head a global cosmetics empire with all three of their daughters involved in the family-run business.

Remaining a wholy privately owned company, this event was a family affair with all of Michelle’s family looking beautiful in white to mark the occasion.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be celebrating all that we as a family and as a team have achieved in the last 21 years,” says Michelle Doherty. “It acknowledges that as a brand we are stronger than ever because our products speak for themselves with their unparalleled results. This milestone cements our place in the skincare arena and is a toast to the next twenty-one years of creating genius products.”

Alpha-H’s cult-followed Liquid Gold remains the brand’s number one award-winning product. This glycolic-based, overnight skin resurfacer has won countless hearts for its ability to re-texturise and refine the skin, leaving it glowing by morning. It was rightfully given plenty of airplay at the 21st anniversary celebrations.

This Sydney event follows another celebration in London, where Alpha-H invited 21 of the UK’s leading beauty media, makeup artists and TV presenters to celebrate the milestone.
