Advanced Body Solutions in Cairns has become the first partner of the Solaire Automatic Booth.
One of the busiest salons in Cairns, Advanced Body Solutions recently teamed up with Solaire to offer their clients the first Automatic Booth of its kind, Professional Beauty caught up caught up with owners Colin and Michael to chat about their new business adventure.
Why did you choose to offer this new service?
The Solaire Purely Sunless Automatic Booth allowed us to expand our business into spray tanning, an area that we would never have been able to previously. As I (Colin) work in the business, most females probably would not be too comfortable with a male spray tanning them. The booth allows the expansion of services and clients to have their spray tan in absolute privacy.
Why did you choose Solaire?
Because the Solaire Booth can spray a pre spray, sunless solution and post spray in just four minutes, making it possible to service a large group in a very short period of time without the need to hire more staff or take up the time of existing staff. On top of this it is a heated booth – this is great because it means that it dries the spray tan as well. If you know Cairns then you know our weather, having a booth that dries the spray before you leave is a MUST, otherwise it gets sticky!
What has been the biggest advantage of offering this new service?
Our decision to offer spray tans paid dividends with the increasingly warmer weather. We offer a large variety of services to clients from short services that only take ten minutes right through to services taking up to an hour. We recently had to spray contestants for Pin Up Australia – previously, heavily booked staff would not have been able to cope with the large influx the group of contestants created. All contestants needed to be spray tanned within a very short period of time.

Privacy! We think that the fact that you can now have a spray tan in complete privacy is fantastic. On top of this the spray tan is perfect every single time without having variations or inconstancies due to individual sprayers.
