Get Threaded moves to Beverly Hills

Just eight years after opening the first Get Threaded ‘salon’ on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with just $5000, company founder Liz See has opened a US flagship store in Beverly Hills.

See discovered threading during a 2008 trip to the US. Immediately recognising the treatment as “a breakthrough in the beauty market that would change the way women removed facial hair and shaped eyebrows”, she “embarked on months of intense research and development” before launching Get Threaded in September 2009.

Realising that her clients “loved the branding and all that Get Threaded stood for” she began licensing the concept to other salons.

“When threading became clients’ most talked about service in Get Threaded’s licencee locations, we introduced the franchise concept involving unique and eye-catching brow bar kiosks and salons in busy shopping precincts,” she said.

The first Get Threaded’s franchise opened its doors in Sydney’s Ryde in 2012.

Today the business boasts 20 Get Threaded franchise and licensee locations across Australia with every Get Threaded “artist” delivering “the only certified threading service in the world” as well as an exclusive brow makeup range.

According to See, the opening of the Beverly Hill store confirms the company’s status as an “industry leader in the ancient art of threading”.

“Get Threaded are true leaders in the industry with a worldwide goal of stopping women from damaging their facial skin with wax,” she said.

“Our team believes in always delivering the three points of ‘WOW’ to Get Threaded clients ‒ less pain, better shape and a unique experience distinguishing Get Threaded from other salons whilst operating under the mission.”

Meanwhile Nieves Calvo-King, the franchise owner of the new Beverly Hills store and two other Get Threaded locations in Australia, has relocated to Los Angeles from Sydney to administer her dream store.

Nieves said she is thrilled to be bringing the Get Threaded experience to Beverly Hills.

“I am very passionate about the industry and continuing our personable approach to beauty in one of the most prestigious neighbourhoods in the world,” she said.
