What’s new at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2017

Three new events will debut at this year’s Cosmoprof Worldwide trade show in Bologna, with the B2B event promising to be bigger than ever before.

According to the President of the BolognaFierce Group, Franco Boni, over 2,600 companies will be exhibiting (94 more than last year), with 73% of them coming from outside Italy.

“The 50th edition is recording record numbers,” Boni told the media. “The exhibition is growing up to 7%, and there are great expectations on the number of visitors participating, too, with a +10% of (sic) online purchases to date compared to 2016.”

The 50th anniversary event will open its doors from March 17th to 20th, and for the first time ever will feature country pavilions from Argentina, Chile, Japan, Latvia and the United Arab Emirates.

But that’s not the only first we’ll be seeing.

Multi-ethnic beauty
The beauty industry has been lacking in diversity since its inception, but forward-thinking and necessary showcases like Cosmoprof’s Tones of Beauty hope to change that. A wide-ranging project devoted to expanding diversity, Tones of Beauty will be stocking cosmetic brands of ‘black and brown’ products.

Organic beauty on the rise
The BeOrganic section will be completely dedicated to companies producing organic beauty products. Companies exhibiting in BeOrganic will meet buyers and distributors at the International Buyer Lounge in Cosmoprime to facilitate new business opportunities.

Cosmoprime
A section devoted to masstige and prestige beauty brands, Cosmoprime will be showcasing 151 exhibitors, with 81% from abroad. With a focus on cosmetics and fragrance, Cosmoprime will bring together like-minded companies, buyers and distributors from across the globe, with exclusive buyer opportunities available.

Cosmopack
The number of exhibitors participating in Cosmopack, a mini-show dedicated to the supply chain of the beauty industry, is expected to grow by 8%, with 50% of participants coming from a variety of 29 countries including Turkey, the USA, China, South Korea and Japan.
