CND supports Love Chile charity fashion showcase

CND collaborated with Australian designer, Faye De Lanty, who showcased her Autumn/Winter 2010 collection for her label “Love Chile” on September 1, under a grand fig tree in the centre of Fitzroy Gardens, Elizabeth Bay, Sydney.

The exclusive showing was to raise money and awareness of the Butterfly Foundation, a charity that supports sufferers of eating disorders and negative body image.

The event, “The Night of the Butterfly”, invited guests to enter a “magical garden wonderland” where models paraded down a grassed runway.

Love Chile’s garments were inspired by Faye’s own personal body image journey from darkness to light, each outfit incorporating hand tie-dying, exotic feathers and beautiful tribal beading.

The CND style team created nail looks to compliment the Love Chile collection. Faye specifically requested short, square nails painted with CND Voodoo #259 (black) and Flamingo Pink #007 (baby pink) to keep with the theme of light and dark.

Afterwards, guests were ushered over to the wine gazebo where they were invited to purchase a citrus “Butterfly-tini” cocktail.

The purchase also gave them a ticket into the prize draw as well as a pampering hand massage from one of the CND manicurists.

Danelle Barr, National Sales & Education Manager, said:

“CND was honoured and excited to be invited to take part in this amazing event, for such a deserving organisation as The Butterfly Foundation. We hope that through our sponsorship, in conjunction with the other supporters involved, that the evening was successful in raising awareness and funds for the charity.”
