Melbourne Beauty Expo to introduce free educational seminars

This year, the Melbourne International Beauty Expo is introducing free educational seminars, running over both days, April 4 and 5.

Topics will cover subjects such as Marketing your Business, Health and Hygiene and the impact good communication has on client relationships.
Exhibition director, Lauren Ebbeck, said: “We have introduced free educational seminars in response to feedback from visitors over the last couple of years. Visitors really appreciate the value of the sessions and it’s important to us that even in these tougher times we are able to provide the same educational opportunities that we have every year.”

Speakers will include Dr Douglas Grose, cosmetic physician and consultant to ASAP Skincare, sharing his ‘Secrets to Good Skin’ in one of the first seminars to be held over the weekend. Business coach and educator, Paul Carbis will deliver seminars on “Marketing your Business” and “Ethics and Reputation”.

Lisa Ezzy, from Your Coach beauty business coaching, will talk on the importance of communication, concentrating on how verbal and non-verbal communication impacts both staff and clients on a day-to-day basis.

Michelle Cullen, an expert in infection control and representing Public Health, will talk about the current health and hygiene regulations and guidelines.

“The educational seminars are intended to inspire as well as educate attendees. I think they are a great way for beauty therapists to discover useful ways in which they can present their businesses to the market place.” Ebbeck said.

There is a maximum of 50 people capacity per session. Spots are available on a “first in first served” basis to everyone registered for the expo.
