Barrett-Hill, who is also a researcher, practitioner and author, will give you a seriously in-depth look at the skin, including everything you need to know about the corneotheraputic approach to the epidermis and the importance of the stratum corneum.

If you’re not across it, corneotherapy refers to the link between cosmetics and dermatology, and aims to improve the function of the skin barrier, leading to healthier skin.

Derma Aesthetics’ co-managing director and head of training, Simone Vescio, says the education days are a chance for therapists to take their skin treatments to the next level and really advance their knowledge.

“Their clients will reap the rewards of healthier skin, more targeted treatments and genuine results,” she says. “Florence Barrett-Hill always leaves delegates feeling inspired, full of knowledge and yearning to put their new understanding into action.”

The education days are not product aligned, but are more focused on the skin itself and developing a deeper understanding of how it works, its components, and its biology and biochemistry. By the end of the day you should have the knowledge to confidently apply a corneotherapeutic approach to skincare treatments.

“I’m pleased to be presenting another seminar in a series that assists with the understanding of the principles and methodology of thinking that is corneotherapy,” says Barrett-Hill.

“By fully understanding the skin and how the skin becomes compromised, we understand how we can intelligently prevent it or improve it.

“Understanding and appreciating the synergy between the cells and systems of the epidermis is a big part of corneobiology, and this extended knowledge elevates a corneotherapist beyond conventional methodologies by allowing them to utilise their extended knowledge of skin structure for superior outcomes for their clients.”

This week is your last chance to book before 31 May to score an early bird ticket for $249. Regular tickets are $299 per person.
