Derma Aesthetics is hosting education days in Sydney and Melbourne this August, giving you the chance to learn from dermal science educator Florence Barrett-Hill.
Barrett-Hill, who is also a researcher, practitioner and author, will give you a seriously in-depth look at the skin, including everything you need to know about the corneotheraputic approach to the epidermis and the importance of the stratum corneum.
If you’re not across it, corneotherapy refers to the link between cosmetics and dermatology, and aims to improve the function of the skin barrier, leading to healthier skin.
Derma Aesthetics’ co-managing director and head of training, Simone Vescio, says the education days are a chance for therapists to take their skin treatments to the next level and really advance their knowledge.

The education days are not product aligned, but are more focused on the skin itself and developing a deeper understanding of how it works, its components, and its biology and biochemistry. By the end of the day you should have the knowledge to confidently apply a corneotherapeutic approach to skincare treatments.
