Eminence Organic Skincare has just announced Jessica Hall from Indah Health & Beauty Spa, Geraldton, WA as its December SuperStar winner for 2015. An annual initiative, starting in 2013, this competition aims to reward therapists that have that go that extra mile, even at the most busy of times. Even more rewarding for the winner is the fact that their boss has put them forward.

“The deciding factor in nominating Jess for this award was her intense enthusiasm for the individual goal she was given to reach in December,” says Indah owner Tess. “Indah set each therapist an individual target of number of products that needed to be sold in the month based on the hours worked; Jess’s excitement and hard work paid off. She reached her goal early in December and didn’t stop there – she continued to perform her duty of care by suggesting to her guests the products she wanted to see them using in their homecare regime.”

“She listens to her guests and their needs,” adds Indah spa manager, Stacey. “Her approach is gentle, honest and knowledgeable. We are so proud of Jess as she battled with her recommending in the past and persisted until she found her groove. Even though December was an extremely busy month, Jess stayed focused, and proved her dedication for Indah and all its philosophies”.

The lead up to Christmas is always a busy month for salons and their therapists so it is the perfect moment to nominate a superstar performer in the ranks.

“December is a unique 30 days in our calendar,” says Eminence Director Tamara Eacott. “It’s always a busy, fun and rewarding month in business and it culminates in the coming together of families for important connection time and then transports us into a brand new year with a bang. We know there are superstar therapists amidst our spa partners that go above and beyond and we want to know about them and reward them, on behalf of the Eminence team for their extraordinary efforts”.

Nominations are called for in the New Year when salon owners and mangers have time to reflect on the festive month. “In January we asked the owners to sit down and write us a story about their chosen superstar therapist and why they think they deserve to be rewarded”, says Tamara Eacott.

Along with the recognition of Eminence and her managers, Jessica  Hall also won a $500 pre-paid Eftpos card.

A special mention also was awarded to Natalie McBurney from Beauty by Natalie, ACT. Natalie is a sole operator so it was down to her to nominate herself, which the company recognised as one of the challenges of being a sole trader – as Eacott says, “You have to set your own goals, motivate yourself and pat yourself on the back when it all goes to plan.”

“Over the last 2 years I have seen over a 40 per cent growth in total sales for my business, and I have grown my following on social media by over 30 per cent,” says Natalie McBurney. “During 2015 I completed my Diploma qualifications which has helped me bring new services in to my business. I was also featured as a beauty industry expert in a publication of the Canberra Weekly.”

Congratulations to both Jessica and Natalie!
