Opening at the beginning of this year, this state-of-the-art Nuvocca beauty college is opening it’s doors on October 7, allowing budding beauty therapists a look into this beauty college with a difference.

Don’t think you’ll be sitting bored at a desk with thirty other students at Nuvocca, this college, run by Evocca College, is all about tailoring the course to suit individual students and offering practical, hands-on experience from industry experts.

Student needs are a priority at this campus. Students can start their Diploma of Beauty at any time of year, and the learning environment offers a bespoke, one-on-one tutoring, which is individualised according to each student’s learning style.

Nuvocca Campus Manager, Marissa Warren says another of the college’s point of difference is its offering of real-world experience

“We have a fully equipped makeup studio, specialised beauty rooms for massage, waxing and facials, as well as a state-of-the-art salon so that students can practice in an environment that is closest to what they’ll experience in the industry once they graduate,” says Marissa. “We also ensure that each student is provided with their own personal tutor who will guide them throughout the course and ensure the material is delivered in a way that best suits their needs.”

Mother and daughter duo, Simone and Rosanne Petrakis completed Nuvocca’s Diploma of Beauty Therapy and say they now have the confidence to go into the beauty business for themselves.

“I hadn’t studied for over 30 years so I was a bit bewildered by it all at first but everyone is so helpful,” says Simone. “The tutors and the flexible learning provided are excellent and it’s a really comprehensive course. I’m now very confident that I’ll have the skills to be able to open a salon with my daughter.”

Rosanne agrees: “My whole perspective has changed and I tackle new challenges daily,” she said. “The flexible learning and hands-on experience has really boosted my confidence and I’ve learned that nothing can hold me back.”
